Love knows no boundaries, fighting the epidemic together
Over the past five years, AMTD Charity Foundation has organized volunteer employees to visit Hong Kong communities and families in need every year, providing them with cotton clothes, clothing and other daily necessities, bringing them social care and warmth.
After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, AMTD Charity Foundation donated RMB 2 million to the Hubei Red Cross Society as soon as possible, becoming one of the first Hong Kong companies to support Hubei. Hubei Vice Governor Zhao Haishan personally called to express his gratitude. AMTD also used a material collection team composed of expatriate employees in Japan, Europe and other countries to purchase medical supplies abroad to help Hubei fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2008, AMTD has been working with Caritas Hong Kong, a large public welfare charity organization in Hong Kong, for more than ten consecutive years to gather forces from all walks of life, convey love to the public, and support and promote Hong Kong's poverty alleviation charity. Caritas Hong Kong is one of the largest non-profit organizations in Hong Kong. It was founded in 1953 and aims to provide relief and rehabilitation services to the poor. The service scope is wide, mainly including social work, education, medical care, community development, and hotel and catering services. As an organization providing diversified social services, Caritas is based on the spirit of "serving with love and creating hope", providing various people-oriented quality services and launching a number of pioneering projects to help people in need live a rich life. The "Caritas Warms the Heart" TV fundraising program co-organized by Caritas Hong Kong and AMTD Charity Foundation is a grand annual charity event in Hong Kong. By inviting well-known Hong Kong entertainment and caring people in the community to perform on the same stage, the public is encouraged to donate money to support Caritas' various community services and benefit more disadvantaged communities. The program attracts millions of individual viewers and over 300,000 family viewers every year. It has raised more than tens of millions of dollars to date and provides assistance to more than 15,000 elderly people, 10,000 families, 8,000 mentally handicapped people and 6,300 teenagers each year.

In the field of youth work and educational innovation, AMTD strongly supports talent cultivation and academic research, youth education, and outstanding youth innovation and entrepreneurship. AMTD has repeatedly served as the only strategic partner and founding partner, and has worked with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to jointly organize the "Entrepreneurship Express" startup incubation program to support young entrepreneurs in innovation and entrepreneurship, lead local startups to the international technology market, and encourage young people to create more employment opportunities through innovation and entrepreneurship, and promote social inclusive development.
