Recently, Mr. Shan Yat Kin, Vice Chairman of AMTD Group, was appointed as an unofficial Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in recognition of his contributions to AMTD Group, AMTD Charitable Foundation and other non-profit/non-governmental organizations. Mr. Shan Yat-kin has rich experience in Hong Kong's political and business circles. He once served as the Commissioner of Correctional Services of the Hong Kong SAR Government and was awarded the "Silver Bauhinia Star", the "Hong Kong Correctional Services Medal" and the "Hong Kong Correctional Services Medal" issued by the Hong Kong SAR Government. "Long Service Medal", "Chief Executive's Public Service Certificate" and other honors. Mr. Shan Yat-kin joined the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department in 1979 and served in Hong Kong's correctional affairs for nearly 37 years. He has made great contributions to promoting integrity and discipline in Hong Kong's correctional services. Mr. Sin Yat-kin also participated in co-organizing the Hong Kong equestrian events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. His outstanding performance during the period was awarded the Chief Executive's Public Service Certificate.
