The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival that inherits Chinese history and culture, and is also a day of gratitude for the harvest. In line with the AMTD Charity Foundation and its founder Dr. Calvin Choi’s commitment to giving back to society and helping the disadvantaged, Dr. Timothy Tong, Bronze Bauhinia Medal, JP, President of AMTD Charity Foundation, and Mr. Sin Yat-kin, SBS, Hong Kong Correctional Services Medal, JP, Director of AMTD Charity Foundation and Vice Chairman of AMTD Group, donated the AMTD special mooncake sets designed by Dr. Calvin Choi to families in Ronald McDonald Houses in Hong Kong on behalf of AMTD Charity Foundation.
Ronald McDonald House Hong Kong was established in 1996. It is the first in Asia and one of the core projects of Ronald McDonald House Hong Kong Charities. The house can accommodate sick children and their families who are receiving treatment in the hospital. In addition to 23 family rooms, Ronald McDonald House Hong Kong also has a kitchen, library, study room, play area, dining room, organic farming garden and an isolation suite specially designed for bone marrow transplant patients. It is well-equipped and has a beautiful environment, so that sick children and their families can face difficulties with peace of mind. This temporary home is not only a temporary place to live, but also a "home" full of love and care.
