The Hong Kong Youth Association warmly congratulates Mr. Li Jiachao on his election as the sixth Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
On May 8, the sixth Chief Executive election of Hong Kong was successfully completed. Mr. Li Jiachao won with 1,416 votes and was successfully elected as the new Chief Executive.
Dr. Cai Zhijian, the special vice president of the China Young Entrepreneurs Association and the chief president of the Hong Kong Youth Association, and Mr. Chen Kairong, the chairman, led all members to publish a celebration page in the Hong Kong Wen Wei Po, warmly congratulating Mr. Li Jiachao on his high vote.
Dr. Calvin Choi said, "Mr. Lee Ka-chiu's election is a popular choice. He is pragmatic, capable and innovative. He has solved the most pressing problems for Hong Kong citizens, such as land and housing supply, medical care system, youth upward mobility opportunities and building a caring society. We look forward to and have full confidence that the new government will bring new changes. Hong Kong citizens will witness Mr. Lee Ka-chiu leading Hong Kong to a higher peak and create new prosperity together."
Mr. Chan Hoi-wing said, "Mr. Lee Ka-chiu has repeatedly mentioned that youth work is a top priority. His manifesto on youth work and youth policy occupies a large chapter. On behalf of the vast youth community in Hong Kong, I hope and firmly believe that the new SAR government will continue to develop a blueprint and implement strategies for youth work to help Hong Kong youth improve their academic, employment and home ownership problems. I believe that Hong Kong youth will have high morale and actively serve Hong Kong and build our country."
